Hey all! I am making a granny square blanket and have a few questions. I am using two different patterns, so the amount of stitches on a side are different for each sqaure. Only by one stitch. Will that matter? Also when stitching the granny sqaures together, in the corners, which do I count as the first stitch? A stitch in the chain 3? Or my next double/half crochet?

I did modify the moon pattern by adding an extra dc in the magic circle and then on the last row, adding a chain 3 instead of chain 2 for my corners. I was trying to make it match my sun sqaure but still off by one. Also the sun sqaure has 21 sticthes on one side and 22 on the other. Will that also affect stitching the sqaures together?
