I don't want people to get heated or whatever , but this has been on my mind recently. Personally, I really dislike translucent hair on scales. One of the big things that attracts me to anime figures is the detailed hair sculpt and shading. I really appreciate 'strand work' and a lot of shading and that will make me quickly pick one figure over another For example, I picked up the Alter Marin Liz ver over the spirit tale ver ( there's also a horrible QC issue with that one) because the former has excellent detailed shading and hair , while the latter uses transparent plastic and looks practically identical in that area to the Taito Tmost Liz by the same sculptor. The Taito face looks the same quality too tbh. To me , it can kill an otherwise beautiful figure. When it's on theme for the figure concept , I don't mind it as much, but I think it should be reserved for prize figures in most cases.

My other pet peeve is also present in the Marin Liz figure dilema, i don't like the fluffy bases!! I see a lot of collections of sexy figures that all have them and I just think they look repetitive and boring. I would much rather they just sculpt a rug and put indents for the character to sit in, like the Spritittale Marin Liz... It feels lazy to miss out on a whole aspect where detail can be added, and charge the same price. I also have 3 cats, so I'm biased to not like things that would catch lots of hair ????
