Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

I moved myself and my two daughters here almost exactly 4 years ago.

In this space, as a single Mama, I:

Made it look easy.

I lied.

I’ve been barely treading water. At some point, every day, I wonder - will today be the day I finally lose it, and slip off into the deepest end?

It all looks so effortless, from the outside looking at us.

I’ve made it out, though. I’ve raised my babies. One, off to her college dorm. The other, partnered and cohabiting.

Now, it’s dump runs and bubble wrap and a little over halfway out the other side.

This place served me while it broke me. I didn’t know just how depressed I’d become, until the way OUT became clear.

We can always, ALWAYS, start again. And there is always, ALWAYS, another Mama, and a former YOU, who’s praying for the very situation you’re trying so desperately to get out of.

It feels so good to begin again✨
