This is my first scape it is 25 gal, bought a lot of plants and huge drift wood. I’ve gone setting it all up then the drift wood floated and my plants substrate got messed up. I got frustrated and left the tank for 3-4 days, after I checked everything smelled bad and All my TONS of anubias and stem plants has rotted and my substrate smelled like a canal.

I resetted everything and this is how it turned out. No more wood island
