I’ve had a vision of a specific silhouette of a jacket that I’ve wanted and after countless close-but-not-quite research and results, I finally found one by a designer that fits the exact vision I had. However it seems like this is a luxe and relatively niche designer so there is virtually no copy of this piece for sale online and reaching out to the designer through all points of contact have turned up no response. I’ve also done quite a bit of exploration into if I can ask a tailor to make this custom and it seems most bespoke places only do suiting or their own silhouettes, and outside of that it seems even less would accept working from a photo. I’m just looking for advice on if anyone had been in the same situation as me, where you wanted to either make or find a specific impossible to find piece and what path you took to help source it and/or how you went about find a seamstress willing to work with the same starting point (if it was through online like etsy or another site please send recommendations my way)!! I’ve been sitting on this wish for almost two years now and any direction would be a godsend. I feel like I’m feeling around in the dark and not sure what direction to take. Thank you!
