This machine, called *Robosenka*, is a small sorting machine developed by Takehiko Shiozawa, a farmer in Kawagoe, and was awarded the "2nd Saitama New Business Award."

The system automatically measures the weight of vegetables and tilts the scale in a specific direction according to their weight, allowing them to be sorted according to standard. The tilt direction can be set for four levels of standard, and the scale will not tilt if they are above or below those calibrated levels.

Though this is a year old video, there hasn’t been much info on it apart from the above blurb I pulled off a Japanese article (excuse translation) and it gets regularly reposted on aggregator channels.

The manual labour involved might not make feasible for a full scale commercial usage, though might work for small retailers or grocery stores.
