determined to do everything wrong at first and just get it out of the way I went for a freehand full "winging jt" mode on this denims "pencil case " thing i bought at hobby lobby for $1.49.

4am I finally heard that *poink* and kinda giggled to myself.

10-15 minutes later I learned me some stuff.

biggest surprise: seeing where the needle is from the other side. I figured itd be easier to tell and ended up with a lot of "wait? I'm coming out there?" surprises.

as always, first time creative stuff always looks just awful at the time and makes me smile the next day.

next up: Taking on the witchcraft of getting the pattern on the fabric.

I’m terrified of the idea, but I’ve had an eating disorder for 8 years and I can’t keep doing this shit. Inspired by a temperature snake I saw on here, I’m making a crocheted recovery snake to keep a record and to motivate me. 7 rows of 8sc per day, dual strand to show the category and accuracy of my intake. As I reduce the accuracy of my tracking he’ll get lighter, and as I start eating more types of food without tracking them he’ll get brighter. Gonna go for L1 of grains tomorrow cause he needs some yellow

The contrast of the colours is a little better irl lol, but I wanted to do it without buying any new yarn (only had to buy 1 in the end). I’m excited to watch him grow, and I’m hoping it lets me feel like a person again

I am currently snowed in and work has already been canceled for tomorrow. With the general state of... things gestures wildly around I am crafting while rewatching my old comfort shows because there's only so many times I can rewatch Heated Rivalry. Right?

Was scrolling through YouTube shorts and recognized the scarf immediately!

This was my first colorwork (and third project ever), and I actually thought it was fairly simple! I did ladderback jacquards to manage the floats (this photo is pre-blocking and pre-ends woven in, so I should be able to erase the tiny bit of puckering I ended up with). Overall a really great first colorwork project!

I couldn't find a pattern online for Liam Ramos's hat, so I cobbled one together myself. It's as close as I could get with worsted crochet.

My heart remains broken.

I looooove how it turned out! For the sleeves I did 2x2 stripes otherwise there would be more like a gradient effect, but I loved the stripes of the body.

Got the buttons last year with no project in mind but they fit perfectly. Very happy!

I decided to give it a try and it came out lovely!!!

This is my first embroidery project ahah so it's not perfect but I'm so happy with how it looks :)
