Display idea question (ikea billy)

animefigure — Sun, 01 Feb 2026 11:04:00 +0900

I am using Ikea billy and cob led as a light source. I wonder if anyone putting reflective acrylic mirror to the back of the cabinet. The idea is to see the back of figures.

I see there is 12”x24” acrylic on amazon that would cover mostly one row of cabinet 29.5”.

Thanks

Thanks!

An Insane Yunyun fan

animefigure — Sun, 01 Feb 2026 10:16:00 +0900

Hello, I wanted to ask. So I really really love Yunyun and I bought the latest figure of her. Sadly it’s a combo figure and I really don’t like Megumin. I wanted to ask how would I go about peeling Megumin off? It seems to me that they’re glued together so maybe a hair dyer would help soften the glue. I would appreciate any advice please.

Should i buy new 6 tails naruto figure

animefigure — Sun, 01 Feb 2026 09:32:00 +0900

hi guys i really like 6 tails naruto(really) but i think Naruto: Shippuden Masterlise Ichibansho Naruto Uzumaki (Nine Tails: Rampage) (A Bridge Between the Lament of Samsara and Peace) Figure is too much for $99.99.I mean he is kinda small for 99 bucks.Since I'm kinda new to figure hobby, I don't know much about it. Could you guys share your thoughts if its possible?

How to make friends?

animefigure — Sun, 01 Feb 2026 05:23:00 +0900

Hi everyone!! I’ve been figure collection for about 4 years now and honestly I still don’t really have many friends to enjoy the hobby with!

I do have an MFC account and making friends I feel is quite hard on there.

I’m not really sure where to start when it comes to where to go to build some friendships through figure collecting! I wanna boast about the new figures releasing with someone! Hahaha

Anyone have advice or places I should go to? Thank you in advanced!!

(Also just posting a picture of my cabinets so this post has some kind of photo attached haha)

Hoshikawa Chigusa — part of my curated Figure & Manga shelf setup

animefigure — Sat, 31 Jan 2026 20:49:00 +0900

Hoshikawa Chigusa, currently displayed as part of my curated shelf setup.

Instead of going for a classic glass cabinet, I’m intentionally combining figures and manga into one cohesive display.
The manga placement isn’t random — each shelf is arranged to support the mood, colors, and presence of the figure.

This is still a work in progress, with spacing and lighting being refined over time.
More updates to come as the shelf continues to evolve.

the new AmiAmi shipping prices are actually insane

animefigure — Sat, 31 Jan 2026 18:48:00 +0900

I was buying 4 magazines and 2 small "hello! good smile" figures, I've purchased over 40 figures with amiami in the last year and usually the shipping for that would be at most the same price of the items, this is almost TRIPLE THE PRICE. amiami just killed the hobby for me, I can't afford this I only make 3.5 bucks an hour.

is it just me or is this actually insane and needs to be reverted?

Jobless Reincarnation Roxy “self touch”

animefigure — Fri, 30 Jan 2026 18:34:00 +0900

Interesting decision to make this figure, but shame it is a prize figure, so quality does seem lacking and it could have been sooooooo much nice if it was a scale.

Still I think I am getting it…..

Black Lagoon's Balalaika Crimson Empress Ver. 1/7 (Medicos Entertainment) pre-order is up again

animefigure — Fri, 30 Jan 2026 01:50:00 +0900

She's available in a couple of places already but be sure to buy her from Medicos' site if you want this version wit the extra smoking face plate and gun parts as they are exclusive to their webshop. You can do so through a proxy like ZenMarket by simply copy pasting the purchase link in their search bar once you've made an account.

https://medicos-e-shop.net/products/detail/35226

She is available for 23.650¥
When I bought and shipped her through ZenMarket last year, the shipping box dimensions were: 40cm × 35cm × 29cm and she weighed 1750g. For those who want to estimate the shipping costs.

btw, her nipples are molded and painted and you can see them from the side or when you bend her dress a bit.

What should I add to my collection

animefigure — Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:04:00 +0900

I’m a new collector of figures and I’m wondering what I should add. Should I be invested in a certain series that has collector items outside of the ones I have or if there are better items within the ones I have. All comments are appreciated, my mal is sd60!
